Fall is here (at least in my book). I count the days of autumn from September 1 to Thanksgiving. We love this season even though it is usually extremely busy. We may not make it to all that we want to do, but here is a guide for when I can squeeze something in to our schedule.
Our Fall Wish List in no particular order ~
- Make apple pies
- Make homemade candy corn
- Do the exploding watermelon and rubber bands activity (we never got to this summer)
- Go apple picking
- Make Halloween costumes
- Go trick or treating
- Go to the homeschool Halloween party
- Go to the Mountain State Fair
- Have a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
- Go to a pumpkin patch
- Carve pumpkins
- Make homemade caramel sauce
- Go to Duke for my son's cardiology appointment
- Visit the Mad Hats store while in Durham
- Attend many Nutcracker rehearsals
- Watch It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
- Watch A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving
- Celebrate Husband's birthday
- Celebrate Anne's birthday
- Have a sleepover birthday party for Anne
- Paint baseboards in two more rooms
- Make mulled cider
- Go on a hayride
- Celebrate Boomer's 5th birthday (Tim's dog)
- Look at the stars through the telescope
- Make 12 lunches for homeless ladies staying at our church (October 11)
- Attend the Renaissance Fair on education day
- Listen to Spooky Classics for Children by Jim Weiss
- Listen to Sherlock Holmes for Children by Jim Weiss
- Listen to Mystery! Mystery! for Children: Sherlock Holmes, Father Brown, Auguste Dupin by Jim Weiss
- Pose for a fall photo shoot
- Go on fall nature drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway
- Take leaf nature walk
- Attend Robot Zoo Exhibit at the Arboretum

ReplyDeleteI'm finally catching up on my blog reading. I love Jim Weiss but haven't gotten anything new in years for the kids. I will have to look into some more and dig out the ones we have. The older kids have heard them but the littles haven't. How very fun!
