Chemistry Set

The big teen received the Chem C3000 Chemistry set from his grandparents for Christmas. He is very excited about using it and today is finally the day to start using it!

If the Big Teen had his way, we would have torn into the set on Christmas day, but I wanted to do it right and read the manual. How was I to know that the manual would be 167 pages LONG! Well, I have read the important parts and we are ready to begin. I am a little nervous. Did I mention that I never took chemistry in high school or college? Also, just about every experiment in this set is flammable, an irritant, or caustic.  It does look like a great set, though. I love the step-by-step instructions and explanations.

Hopefully, I will have some great pictures for you all in the next few days. If you don't hear from us again, we probably blew up!  Just kidding....

Blessings, Dawn

  2. Dawn, I stopped by at another time, but ran out of time to comment. Thanks for commenting earlier on today. I loved your year in review; I saw this same meme on Carol's (ThreeLittleLadies) blog and think how great it must be to reflect in such a way. If only my camera was working...

I will pray on the RAD issues, and it looks as if you got some wonderful advice from others in the know. Isn't Blogland simply wonderful?

  3. Wow! That is totally a great gift. That looks like every boys idea of a great gift - a chemistry kit to perform all kinds of cool experiments. I do look forward to posts of every experiment! Keep your camera close by.

Have a blast!! I always loved chemistry in school, except that we seemed to do the same experiment!

We're also working on Egyptians with our Mystery of History. We are really enjoying it. I like the timeline alot. It reallys help pull it all together.

    Have a wonderful day!!
